Watch this space as today I will be baking the biscuits for my typographical poster! Typography has just been tweaked, stencils about to be cut, next step is to make and shape the dough.
In conjunction with my dissertation I am designing an A2 poster to sum it up. I am experimenting with baking type. This is my very first, extremely rough experiment to get the recipe mixture for my typography biscuits just right. They smell wonderful!

Good afternoon everybody and welcome to my blog.
I am a 21 year old Graphic Design student, studying at Blackpool and The Fylde College. Being in my final year, I am requested to write an 8000 word dissertation. My dissertation subject is something I am really quite excited about as I get to explore the links between two professions: Graphic designer and Chef.
Although they are two completely different areas of work, I have increasingly noticed strong links between the two, such as, a designer has to follow a brief and execute the final outcome using a variety of methods and techniques, much in the same way as a chef would follow a recipe and use different ingredients, timings and methods. At the end of each (brief/recipe) they both must have a beautiful, well thought out final piece aimed at a particular target audience.
I am particularly excited about this subject as graphic design and cooking are two major passions of mine. I was so excited about this that I just had to bake a cake! Even the simplest Victoria sponge can almost make you taste it with your eyes.
So there you have it, I intend to look in to tasty design that you can really sink your teeth into.
